DESCRIPTION:This session provides an overview of the unique needs\, considerations\, and available resources for key subpopulations experiencing homelessness\, including Youth and Young Adults\, survivors of Domestic Violence\, Veterans\, and older adults. Participants will gain an understanding of the service systems\, program requirements\, and partnership expectations associated with each of these specialized populations. The training highlights strategies for effective collaboration with system partners and offers\nguidance on navigating eligibility criteria\, confidentiality considerations\, and cross-system coordination to ensure appropriate and equitable access to housing and supportive services. \nLearning Objectives\n1. Participants understand resources and programming available to specific populations\, and how to access those resources. \nThis training will be held virtually over Zoom.

SUMMARY:Session 8: Subpopulation Needs and Service Strategies: Dynamics of High Acuity Clients
DESCRIPTION:This session will provide guidance on tailoring approaches and services for people with severe\, persistent\, untreated mental illness\, active and untreated substance use disorders\, and co-occurring chronic health conditions requiring medical intervention. \nLearning Objectives\n1. Participants will identify common diagnoses among most acute clients\, and strategies for linkages to behavioral health\, psychiatric crisis\, and other appropriate medical care.\n2. Participants will be able to identify 3 resources for more information on frequently encountered behavioral health concerns in a CoC service delivery setting. \nThis training will be held virtually over Zoom.
