Session 8: Subpopulation Needs and Service Strategies: Dynamics of High Acuity Clients

This session will provide guidance on tailoring approaches and services for people with severe, persistent, untreated mental illness, active and untreated substance use disorders, and co-occurring chronic health conditions requiring medical intervention.
Learning Objectives
1. Participants will identify common diagnoses among most acute clients, and strategies for linkages to behavioral health, psychiatric crisis, and other appropriate medical care.
2. Participants will be able to identify 3 resources for more information on frequently encountered behavioral health concerns in a CoC service delivery setting.
This training will be held virtually over Zoom.
