Management vs. Leadership (for supervisors/leaders)

Intended Audience: This training is designed for professionals in management and leadership positions across sectors- including but not limited to housing, behavioral health, healthcare, nonprofit, and public service – who are committed to creating equitable, supportive, and trauma-informed environments.
Description: In today’s dynamic organizational landscape, understanding the nuanced differences between management and leadership is crucial for effective team and organizational performance. This course delves into the core functions and competencies that define management and leadership, highlighting their unique contributions and the synergy between them. Participants will explore how managers focus on planning, organizing, and coordinating resources to achieve specific objectives, emphasizing efficiency and consistency. Conversely, the course examines how leaders inspire, motivate, and guide individuals toward a shared vision, fostering innovation and driving change. Delegation is a key skill for both roles and this course will also examine strategies to delegate with confidence and clarity.
The training will be held virtually over Zoom.
