Session 1: Case Management Fundamentals: Homeless Response System Overview & Requirements
This session will provide an overview of the different components of Rhode Island’s Homeless Response System and the requirements of each component. Components covered will include regional access points, street outreach, emergency shelter, rapid rehousing, and permanent supportive housing.
Learning Objectives
1. Participants understand basics of homeless response system design – CES, HMIS, crisis services, access points, rehousing services, and partnerships with adjacent systems.
2. Participants understand eligible CoC activities by component type, homeless definition, and eligibility.
3. Participants understand CoC terms, definitions, long-standing policy approaches.
4. Participants understand role that direct care workers play in advancing CoC system goals
The training will be held virtually over Zoom.
