Session 3: Case Management Fundamentals: Client Centered Practices & Trauma Responsive
This session will cover the core tenets of client engagement with a focus on maintaining ethical boundaries, holding confidentiality, avoiding conflicts of interest, and respecting client choice in service delivery. It will also cover the impact of trauma within the context of homelessness and provide strategies for establishing relationships that prioritize creating psychological safety for the person served. It will address how to adjust engagement strategies when clients are not demonstrating apparent urgency, commitment, or follow through.
