Emergency Shelter Role within the Homeless Response System

May 14 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm

Emergency shelter is a key component of a homeless response system, often being the first stop on a household’s journey back to housing.

This session will explore how shelters can respond to local systemic needs and provide attendees with practices to support a housing-focused orientation in shelter. Trainers will offer an interactive session to discuss shelter design, including policies, service approaches, and physical features that promote positive housing outcomes.
